Quality Of Surveillance For Stage 1 Testis Cancer In The Community

ORLANDO, FL (UroToday) - As part of the Urologic Diseases in America Project, the authors evaluated compliance with surveillance protocols for Stage I testis cancer in the community setting. Surveillance protocols, developed at large referral centers, were only loosely followed in the community. The authors conclude that further work is needed to assess the impact of this reality. Based on the data presented on a nearby poster by Chamie et al, these community based patients should certainly have a lower incidence of secondary malignancy than their academic center counterparts
